Course Description:
The human figure remains the highest level of subject matter for the painter, both technically and philosophically. In the Fundamentals course we will draw from the live nude, going over essential anatomy, drawing strategy, and general goals when it comes to this ancient practice. There will be demonstrations by instructor, Seth Fite, time studying Old Master drawings, and each participant will gain experience working from life. Figure drawing improves all aspects of one's drafting skill, complimenting our Thursday life drawing evenings. Fite will help ease the intimidation of the figure by guiding students every step of the way.
